The role
As a Commissioning Group Electrical Test Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll conduct commissioning activities including testing, diagnostics, and defect rectifications.

Day to day, you'll conduct submarine commissioning, testing and calibration activities.

• Write test forms/procedure and then test
• Ensure proper installation and run tests before handing across to the Navy (customer)
• Involved in writing procedures and hands on testing
• Liaise with ship staff to carry out trials

This is a full time, permanent role based onsite at our Faslane site. We offer generous overtime of double pay on weekends and time and a half on weekdays.

Essential experience of the Commissioning Group Electrical Test Engineer:

• Understanding of commissioning processes, first level and secondary systems, COSHH, quality assurance and planning processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft software

Qualifications for the Commissioning Group Electrical Test Engineer:

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
• An HNC (or equivalent) and experience within a similar role are advantageous

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
